Customer loyalty program in Saudi Arabia: games, points, QR menu and POS in one platform
Dawwerni is a web platform that gives Saudi coffee shops, restaurants, salons and retailers a customer loyalty program with no app: the customer scans a QR code, plays a short game, wins a reward for the next visit, and lands in the shop’s own CRM. Example: a Riyadh drive-through prints the QR on the cup lid, the customer plays while waiting, and comes back two days later to redeem. Add a bilingual QR menu, a POS and a Foodics link.

Why a Saudi loyalty program needs more than a paper stamp card
Competition in Saudi cities is street by street: one block can hold three speciality coffee shops, a drive-through, a burger place and a barbershop. Customers have plenty of choice and often decide from Google Maps or from a story they saw the night before. Paper stamp cards get lost, and nobody downloads a dedicated app for one coffee.
Dawwerni keeps it simple: a QR code on the table, counter, cup or bag, opened with the phone camera. No download, no account. The customer plays a short game (spin wheel, mystery doors, quiz, memory and more) and wins a reward you choose, with odds and quantities you control. The reward is usually valid on the next visit, so coming back has a clear reason.
After the game the customer is invited, optionally, to follow you on Instagram and leave an honest Google review. The reward never depends on the review; that is Google policy. Our guide on getting more Google reviews for restaurants in Saudi Arabia explains the right way to ask.
The market: from speciality coffee to exhibitions
Every Saudi business type has a different visit pattern, so we switch modules on by business type instead of giving everyone the same thing:
- Coffee shops and speciality coffee: frequent, fast visits. A digital stamp card ("buy 9, the 10th is free") plus a game after ordering. See the loyalty program for coffee shops.
- Drive-throughs: the customer stays in the car, so the QR goes on the cup, the bag or a window sticker, and the game is played while waiting.
- Restaurants: Arabic/English QR menu with a calories field, QR table ordering, kitchen display, loyalty built into the till.
- Salons and barbershops: online booking with reminders, a digital walk-in queue, barber commissions in Salon Pro.
- Perfume and retail: points on every receipt, VIP levels, gift cards sold in season and sent by WhatsApp.
- Car washes: "10 washes, the 11th free" on a digital card, plus a game while the customer waits.
- Game lounges (PlayStation, billiards): hourly sessions, console booking, tournaments on the TV.
- Sports academies, real estate and exhibitions: attendance and fees, seller and buyer leads, and an event booth kiosk.
Modules with Saudi specifics
Every module below exists in the product; some are tuned for shops in the Kingdom. We confirm on the call which modules your plan includes.
Dawwerni POS with the phase-1 ZATCA QR
Dawwerni POS is a fast touch register on tablet, PC or phone, printing 58/80 mm thermal tickets and A4 invoices, with discounts, promo codes, cashier PINs, Z reports, tables, QR table ordering and a kitchen display screen. It runs in SAR.
In Saudi Arabia it can optionally print the phase-1 ZATCA QR on simplified invoices: seller name, VAT number, timestamp, total with VAT and VAT amount. That is phase 1 only; Dawwerni POS is not a phase-2 (Fatoora integration) solution. Check your phase-2 integration obligations with your accountant before relying on it.
Foodics and any other POS
Already on Foodics? Keep it. Dawwerni connects to Foodics, Loyverse and any POS through a REST API and signed webhooks, so purchases turn into points and stamps automatically.
Arabic/English QR menu with calories
A QR menu with photos and prices in Arabic and English from one place, with calories (kcal) and allergens fields, price updates in seconds, a "play & win" banner that links the menu to loyalty, and table reservations from the same menu.
Screens and live nights
Any smart TV becomes an animated menu board or promo screen with dayparting (breakfast, lunch, evening, Ramadan). On Premium, Quiz Night, Karaoke Night and Table Duel give evening cafés a group activity.
The Saudi calendar: seasons that move the numbers
Saudi loyalty runs on seasons and on the heat. In summer most traffic moves to the evening; in Ramadan the peak moves to after iftar and to suhoor. Prepare campaigns ahead:
| Season | What changes | What to switch on in Dawwerni |
|---|---|---|
| Ramadan | Peak after iftar until suhoor | Ramadan game theme, Ramadan screen playlist, suhoor offers, gift cards |
| Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha | Gifts, perfume, sweets, family outings | Eid theme, WhatsApp gift cards, VIP point multipliers |
| Founding Day (22 February) | Festive mood and local offers | Heritage-styled game, next-visit offer |
| National Day (23 September) | Busy shops, restaurants and cafés | Short campaign with a new game, Instagram story with the QR |
| Riyadh Season and events | Visitors and long evenings near event zones | Next-visit rewards, English menu |
| Summer | Heat pushes the peak into evening and night | Quiet-hour offers by day, screen games at night |
More Google reviews, the compliant way
Many Saudi customers pick a place on Google Maps. Dawwerni helps you raise review volume because you ask every customer the same way, at the right moment, with a direct link. The rule stays fixed: no gift, discount or game entry for a review, no asking only happy customers, no staff-written reviews.
The reward is always for the visit, purchase or play; the review is an optional, honest invitation. Start today with the free Google review QR poster generator and read Google’s review incentive policy for small businesses before any campaign.
Contests and prize draws: check permits
Dawwerni games are quick reward games: you set prizes, odds and quantities, each winning code is unique and checked at the counter. Larger prize draws and Instagram or TikTok contests may need a permit from the Saudi Ministry of Commerce; check with the authority or a lawyer before launching.
For a fair draw on an Instagram post, use the free giveaway picker.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Dawwerni cost in Saudi Arabia?
Standard is 750 SAR per year and Premium is 900 SAR per year, with a 7-day free trial. A limited free plan exists for one business. Chains and multi-branch businesses get a quote based on the number of branches.
Is Dawwerni POS ZATCA compliant?
It optionally prints the phase-1 ZATCA QR on simplified invoices. It is not a phase-2 (Fatoora integration) solution, so check your phase-2 obligations with your accountant; you may need a dedicated e-invoicing solution for that part.
Does it work with Foodics?
Yes. Dawwerni integrates with Foodics so purchases become points and stamps without manual entry. It also connects to Loyverse and to any POS through a REST API and signed webhooks.
Do customers need to download an app?
No. They scan the QR with the phone camera and play in the browser. The loyalty card is a web wallet card on their phone, with no app and no account.
Can I give a prize for a Google review?
No. Google forbids incentives for reviews. In Dawwerni the reward is for the visit or the game; the review is an optional invitation shown to every customer the same way, never only to happy ones.
Do you have an office in Saudi Arabia?
No. Dawwerni is a Tunisian company. Setup and support are remote in Arabic and English, by WhatsApp and video call. The first setup takes about 10 minutes.
Do contests need a permit in Saudi Arabia?
In-store reward games are one thing; larger prize draws and public contests may need a permit from the Ministry of Commerce. Check with the authority or a lawyer before launching a draw.
