Customer loyalty program in Oman: turn hospitality into a second visit
In Oman owners know their customers by name, and hospitality with kahwa and dates is part of selling. Dawwerni turns that relationship into a digital loyalty program with no app: a QR code on the table or counter, a short game in Arabic or English and a reward valid on the next visit, with every customer saved in your own CRM. Example: a café in Qurum stamps every coffee digitally, and a salon in Salalah captures khareef visitors to invite them back next season.

The Omani market: relationship before any offer
A shop in Oman lives on reputation and relationships: customers come back because the owner greets them and knows their order, and because kahwa and dates are offered as a matter of course. That is a real strength, but it lives only in the owner’s memory. When a staff member changes or a second branch opens, the knowledge is gone. A digital loyalty program keeps that relationship: the customer’s name, phone number, birthday if shared and number of visits.
Omani customers do not want heavy apps or long sign-ups. So Dawwerni runs straight from the camera: scan the QR, play, win, with no download and no account. You can also show an invitation to follow you on Instagram and to leave an honest Google review, the two places where residents and visitors look for a new spot. To compare with neighbouring markets, see the Gulf overview page.
Omani cities: each with its own rhythm
Muscat: Qurum, Al Khuwair, Al Mouj, Muttrah and Seeb
- Qurum: cafés, restaurants and shops near the beach and parks, serving residents, expats and evening visitors.
- Al Khuwair: ministries and corporate offices, so the peaks are morning coffee and a short lunch, then calm after working hours.
- Al Mouj: a waterfront residential community with restaurants and cafés, and residents who enjoy new experiences and outdoor seating.
- Muttrah: the souk, the corniche, tourists and cruise visitors in season, and perfume, frankincense and gift shops.
- Seeb: large family neighbourhoods with local shops, supermarkets and restaurants; daily customers who return when they feel the value.
Salalah: the khareef season
In Salalah the khareef changes everything: from roughly late June to September the drizzle, mist and green hills bring visitors from across Oman and the Gulf. Restaurants, cafés and gift shops fill up, then calm down after the season. Use a welcome game to capture visitors’ contacts, message them before the next khareef, and keep the loyalty card focused on Salalah residents all year round.
Sohar and Nizwa
Sohar is an industrial and port city with workers, staff and families; cafeterias, fast food and phone shops live on daily customers, so a simple stamp card works well. Nizwa is a historic city that tourists visit for its fort and souk, with locals who stay loyal to their shops, so a game for visitors plus a card for residents fits best.
How Dawwerni works in an Omani shop
The full setup for coffee shops is on the café loyalty page.
- Place the QR code on the table, counter, window, receipt or an Instagram story.
- The customer scans with the phone camera and plays a short game: spin wheel, mystery doors, quiz or scratch card, in the Coffee, Ramadan or Eid theme.
- They win a reward you choose, with odds and quantities you control, and a unique winning code the cashier verifies.
- They are invited, optionally, to follow you on Instagram and leave an honest Google review; the prize never depends on the review.
- The customer profile is saved in your CRM, and the reward is valid on the next visit, which brings them back.
Modules that fit the Omani market
Cafés and family restaurants
A buy-9-get-the-10th-free card for coffee and karak, a QR menu in Arabic and English with calories and allergens, table reservations from the menu for family dinners, and a TV menu board that switches between breakfast, evening and Ramadan.
Salons and barbers
Salon Pro: booking reminders against no-shows, a QR walk-in queue with a TV board, a daily board per barber with commission and tips, and gift cards sent by WhatsApp before Eid. See the salon page.
Retail, perfumes and bakeries
Points on every bill, VIP levels, gift cards with partial redemption and automatic birthday campaigns. Perfume, bukhoor and Omani halwa are common gifts for occasions, so a digital gift card fits naturally.
POS and cashier
Cashier mode finds the customer by phone number, adds the stamp or purchase and redeems the reward. Integrations exist for Foodics, Loyverse and any register via REST API. The full Dawwerni POS does not currently list the Omani rial, so ask us about the POS in Omani rial before relying on it.

Reviews and draws: what to check
Google’s policy is clear: no gift or discount in exchange for a review, no asking only happy customers, no staff-written reviews. Dawwerni invites every customer the same way to leave an honest, optional review, and the reward is for the visit or the play. You can print the review poster with the Google review QR tool.
Promotions and prize draws may need a permit from Oman’s ministry of commerce, so check with the authority or a lawyer before launching any draw, especially for a large prize or an Instagram campaign.
Plan and getting started
In Oman Dawwerni is sold on the worldwide USD plan: 129 USD Standard and 149 USD Premium per year, with a 7-day free trial and a free plan for one business; you can ask for a local quote. Chains with several branches get an Enterprise quote. Active modules depend on the business type and plan, so confirm which ones your plan includes on the call.
Setup is remote and takes about 10 minutes: the Dawwerni team builds the first game with you in Arabic or English, you print the QR stickers and start the same day. For more on the region, read gamified loyalty in Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain.
