How the prize budget is calculated

Each play has a chance to win each prize. The expected prize cost of one play is the sum of (win odds × your cost of the prize). Multiply by the plays you expect per day and the days you are open: that is your monthly prize cost, before any daily cap.

Daily caps limit the worst case: a prize with a cap of 5 per day can never cost more than 5 units a day, even on a busy day. The planner applies the caps, so the budget shown is the most you can spend if every winner redeems.

Prizes valid on the next visit work differently from instant discounts: the cost only happens when the customer comes back and spends again. The redemption rate is yours to set; the default (100 %) is the cautious case.

How to use the planner

  2. List your prizes with your real cost (not the menu price) and their win odds in %. The rest is "try again".
  3. Add a daily cap to the expensive prizes and set a monthly budget if you have one.
  4. Read the cost per play and the monthly total; adjust the odds until it fits.
  5. Unlock the full plan: per-prize cost, weekly stock and odds scaled to your budget, ready to print.

Frequently asked questions

What win odds should I use?

There is no universal number. Start from your budget: decide what one play may cost you, then give small, cheap prizes high odds and expensive prizes low odds with a daily cap. Test for two weeks and adjust.

Should the prize cost be the menu price?

No. Use what the prize really costs you: ingredients and packaging for a free coffee, the discount amount for a voucher. That is the money that leaves the business.

Do prize promotions need a permit?

In some countries, prize draws and games of chance used for promotion need a permit or must follow consumer rules. Check with your local authority (for example the ministry of commerce or the economic department) before launching.

Can I use the plan in Dawwerni?

Yes. The same inputs (prizes, odds, quantities, daily limits) are the settings of a Dawwerni game, and every winning code is checked at the counter.
